Vision Version 3.1 INSTALLATION :

This installer is for an original installation on a Precision Workstation or Premier Tester. These are testers with a built-in CPU only. They do not connect to a host through a USB cable. This download is for corrective action only. It does not represent an update to Vision.

Please open and read the installation document before downloading and running the installer. There are many installation circumstances that require additional steps after installation. All installation circumstances are covered in the instructions.

Vision 3.1.0 Installation Instructions => 6/25/08

CAUTION: Do not use this installer for any system other than a Precision Workstation or an original Precision Premier, testers that have their own built-in CPUs.

Vision.3.1.0.exe => 6/25/08

For many Testers, the Vision.3.1.0.exe installer is not sufficient.

Precision Premier users should download and run PM Driver.3.1.0.exe after running Vision.3.1.0.exe.

PM Driver.3.1.0.exe => 6/25/08

Precision Workstation-D owners should download and run WS Driver.3.1.0.D.exe after running Vision.3.1.0.exe. Precision Workstation-D testers are older Precision Workstations that have serial numbers in the format "WSxxxx.xxx/D" (ex. WS0600-105/D). Precision Workstations with serial numbers that do not end in "/D" should not perform this step.

WS Driver.3.1.0.D.exe => 6/25/08

UPDATE all LIBRARY Tasks:

Check this location frequently for updated Tasks.

NOTE: The current version of the Vision program is 4.1.3. Tasks are independent agents loaded by Vision. Each Task has an independent version number 4.1.x, where x ranges from '0' to as much as '4' as of this date. Please do not confuse Task version with the program version. 10/24/08.

Update in conjunction with Vision 4.1.4. Incorporates all previous entries in this table. The update includes, In particular:

  • Measurement Tasks modified to properly adjust amplification level list when changing testers in a multiple tester environment.
  • Measurement Tasks check the selected amplification level to ensure it is in range. If not, the default value is set. (This is particular to changes of testers in a multiple tester environment.)
  • Filter Tasks adjusted to accept the future release of a Piezo Filter as data input. Piezo Filter is anticipated in December 2008.
  • Some Filter Tasks have had their dialogs adjusted to increase the length of the input Task type control.

4.1.0

Add two noise reduction Filter Tasks. A Subsample Filter returns a reduce version of the input data vectors in which approximately every nth sample point is retained. (n is defined by the user.) This can be helpful in reducing noise in certain mathematical manipulations such as differentiation. A Smoothing Filter replaces the dependent value at each point in the input data vectors with an weighted average of that value and its n adjecent neighbors. (n is defined by the user.)

  Update the help pages to include help for the Noise Reduction Filters. This update includes an updated main Vision help file, so it is very large.

This update corrects a bug and adds error handling in importing a Vision Data File. Attempting to import a non-existent or incorrectly-formatted file previously lead to a corrupted DataSet. Most Measurement Tasks and many Filter Tasks are updated. This update supplants many earlier Tasks updates that have been removed from the table, below.
7/15/08
Critical/Minor

Critical for owners of Sigma thermal chambers. Minor for all others. Corrects an error that was causing temperature setting to time out when a ramp rate was set. This corrects the GPIB Set Temperature, Chamber suite and Imprint2 Tasks.
6/06/08
Standard

Some recent updates and distributions may contain the older Version 3.1.0 set of help pages. This download corrects the discrepancy. The User-Printable Help, installed by the incorrect distributions, was the correct Version 4.1.1 help. Only the on-line help was installed in error.
6/06/08
Minor

Recent Vision updates include a Pause Task with a debugging dialog left in. The debug dialog appears every time the main Pause configuration dialog is accessed. This update removes the dialog.
6/03/08
Important

Tasks that address thermal controllers, including GPIB Set Temperature, Imprint2 and the Chamber Task Suite, now require a set of DLLs that are specific to individual thermal controllers. These are placed in C:\Program Files\Radiant Technologies\Vision\System\TC. These are not installed in the All Tasks download, but are installed by the main Vision installer after 5/15/08
